July started off with the British super series South Aquathlon. A tough 3 mini-races of varying swim and run lengths, I battled hard in each race but my swim is just not up to the standard of the top contenders and I finished 13th Junior.

A week later, I opened up my track season with a Trafford Open 3000m, in which I ran a 4s PB of 9:13. I was slightly disappointed with this race as I was hoping for around 9:00, but all in all it is still a good improvement.

At the end of the month was the British Junior Triathlon Champs in Sunderland. It was a longer, 3/4 Olympic distance race, which was long but enjoyable racing. I had a good swim (in the cold sea) and a decent bike pack, but I had an unusually tired run for me which was surprising because I normally run well off the bike. I finished 14th Junior.
